Minutes for October 21, 2009    

The meeting was called to order at 6:19 pm in UC 259 by President Alicia Haubrich and recording Secretary Ali Baumgartner.

Matthew Westphal moved to approve the minutes from the Oct. 7, 2009 meeting with a second by Deanna Carloni. The minutes were passed with a vote of consent.

Old Business:  
Get Well Gifts

The idea was great and well accepted. Matt Timmons moved for $25.00 each for a gift and the motion was seconded by Deanne Carloni. The motion was passed with a vote of 27 Yes, 0 No, 6 Abstained.

ABC Funds Request - $300

The assembly thought ABC had great intentions and have time to plan. The Fright Night is meant to be an “open house” atmosphere for on-campus students. The motion was passed by the Assembly with a vote of 25-Yes, 0-No, 8 Abstained.

LIT $$$ amount

The proposed amounts from last week were the traditional amounts of $1,600 for low-rise halls and $2,000 for the towers. Justin Schoenemann moved to approve the LIT funds and was seconded by Jennifer Larson. The amounts passed with a vote of 28 Yes, 0 No, 6 Abstained

New Business:

Budget Line Items

A correction will be made to the NRRH line item from NRHH registration to NRHH Travel adding $1,000 from the ResLife budget discretionary funds. Conference rollover fund line item will be added. Program excess fund line item will be added. Also a line item titled Assembly Shin-Digs is added with a proposed $325.00.  Disability funds line item will be added, and add $2,000 as starting balance. A New Revenue Account will also be added. The proposal will be brought back to the LITs on adding to the budget and will be voted on next week.

* We have been very busy for our Homecoming activities! Window painting on Sunday went very well and our design was awesome. We are also excited to be the only Res Hall in the Variety Show with our Men In Black themed dance. Yesterday we met and sold t-shirts, beads, buttons, and are planning a Halloween Party for next week.

* Assembly choice program was movie in the pool. An e-mail will be sent to

   volunteers.
